Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Introduction

TrendsFox ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website trendsfox.com and provides a software-as-a-service platform that tracks Reddit trends and uses artificial intelligence to cluster posts into actionable themes (the "Service"). We are a UK-based product. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use our Service.

By accessing or using TrendsFox, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and any other information you choose to provide. This data is stored in our database hosted on Supabase.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (such as your card number, billing address, and transaction history) are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, subreddits tracked, alert configurations, and timestamps of activity.

Device and technical data. We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs when you access the Service.

3. Reddit API Usage

TrendsFox accesses publicly available Reddit content through the official Reddit API. We retrieve public posts, comments, vote counts, and metadata from subreddits that you choose to track. We do not access your personal Reddit account, private messages, or any non-public Reddit data. The Reddit content we process is publicly available information and is used solely to identify trends and generate insights for you.

Our use of the Reddit API is subject to Reddit's Data API Terms. We do not sell or redistribute raw Reddit data.

4. AI Processing

We use artificial intelligence models provided by Groq (running Llama-family models) to analyse and cluster Reddit posts into thematic groups. When processing trend data, the content of public Reddit posts is sent to Groq's API for analysis. This processing is performed on publicly available Reddit content, not on your personal data. Groq acts as a data processor and processes data in accordance with their privacy and security policies. We do not use your personal account information for AI training purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the Service. The types of cookies we use include:

Essential cookies. Required for the Service to function, including authentication tokens and session identifiers.

Analytics cookies. Help us understand usage patterns and improve the Service. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect certain features.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, which provides managed PostgreSQL databases with encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on AWS and may store data in data centres located in the EU and United States. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party service providers, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:

Supabase— database hosting, authentication, and storage. Supabase processes your account data and usage data.

Stripe— payment processing. Stripe processes your payment information and billing details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Groq— AI inference for trend analysis. Groq processes public Reddit content to generate thematic clusters. No personal user data is sent to Groq.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

8. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), you have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification— request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes. Aggregated, anonymised data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@trendsfox.com.

10. International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers operate outside the United Kingdom.
